Past News: His Excellency the Governor General praises ACFSA

His Excellency the Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC was recently invited to become Patron of our organisation. Senator Matt Canavan Minister for Resources and Northern Australia kindly wrote the recommendation for us.
Although the request was declined, as he will leave the office early next year, Sir Peter expressed a hope that he could present the awards to this year’s applicant families.
He commended our work as “important and unique”.
