Thanks to the provisions of the ‘Closer Settlement Promotion’ the family were able to purchase Woolbrook in 1911 for the sum of £1752.-15 -10d. A property of 430 well grassed acres near Taralga NSW. Francis and bride Winifred Ellsmore supported their family by buying, selling and breeding cattle, growing potatoes and grains. They had an interest in several different breeds of livestock. Woolbrook was successfully farmed by Greg (Francis and Winifreds son) and Elaine Connor for many years, with Andrew and Rosey becoming the custodians in 2020. The original homestead still stands along with many sheds, framed by exceptionally large and stately old eucalypts. Woolbrook has seen many improvements through the years, a new homestead, stock yards, woolshed, sealed roading, among them and now produces cattle and sheep. The property is now home to Rosey, widow of the late Andrew Connor (grandson of founder Francis Connor) and his children Georgia, Brodie, Brianna and Angus.
